Minister Nyesom Wike of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has announced plans to inaugurate what is being touted as Africa’s largest Water Park in Abuja, the nation’s capital. This declaration was made during a meeting with representatives from Sunrise Estate Developers and the Nadeem Group, who also extended a formal invitation to the upcoming commissioning event scheduled for March.

In his remarks, Minister Wike expressed gratitude to the developers for their investment in the FCT, emphasizing the potential of the Sunrise Water Park to meet the region’s commercial and economic requirements while offering employment opportunities for young people. Additionally, he urged the group to fulfill their tax obligations, highlighting the importance of tax revenue for funding developmental projects within the FCT, unlike other government entities that receive federal allocations.

Wike acknowledged the significant contribution of the developers to Abuja’s development and commended their achievement in constructing the largest water park in Africa, equipped with cutting-edge technology. He emphasized the park’s potential to stimulate commercial and economic activities and generate employment opportunities, underscoring the government’s commitment to creating a favorable environment for investors.
