The International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy (IFPD) has announced the appointment of Amb Dr Kingsley Amafibe as its new Head of Africa Affairs.
IFPD is a global, non-partisan diplomatic organization dedicated to advancing peace, promoting meaningful dialogue, and strengthening international cooperation. The organization serves as a bridge between nations, institutions, and communities, addressing emerging global challenges through constructive engagement, evidence-based policy advocacy, and the promotion of sustainable development.
Amb. Amafibe’s appointment comes as he embarks on a family Vacation and Christmas Holiday in the United States, where he is having a family time out ahead of the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2026, scheduled to hold from June 19th to 21st, 2026, in Marrakech, Morocco. Speaking on the sidelines of his trip, Amafibe described the visit as productive, refreshing and planning process.
“The level of engagement from international institutions across the Africa and the global communities has shown strong interest in the summit,” he said. “The outcomes will benefit Africans at home and in the diaspora.
He added that the Morocco 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit is expected to broaden opportunities for Investment and sustainable development across Africa and foster stronger global collaboration and partnerships. Reacting to his appointment, Amb. Amafibe expressed gratitude to IFPD for the confidence reposed in him.
“I am deeply honored and thankful to the International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy for finding me worthy to represent Africa in the pursuit of peace and diplomacy,” he said. “I look forward to contributing meaningfully to the organization’s mission across the continent.”
