The Book, Rise Of African Fashion Designers & Lifestyle Launched At Peace Achievers Awards
The 2024 edition of Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards has successfully come to an end in Abuja, a gathering that seeks to strengthen the nation’s unity and integration.
The event, which was the 14th in the series of Peace Achievers International Conference, had in attendance critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s peace and security.
It also featured the public presentation of the book, The Rise Of African Fashion Designers & Lifestyle, written by Amb Kingsley Amafibe, an icon of peace and consulting in the fashion industry.
The books x-rays the challenges facing the industry at contemporary times, those championing new narratives in the industry, funding, international recognition, growth, and future perspectives.
It also looked into the navigation points to major challenges facing the industry and how upcoming players in the fashion industry can avoid pitfalls of those who came before them. The author of the book Amb Kingsley Amafibe explains that this is the best time to seek partnership in a space where there is no collaboration. Amb Kingsley Amafibe, publisher of the book, stated the opportunity of the industry and global recognition in this new book.
The conference had as the theme, “Building Bridges for Sustainable Peace and Security: Integrating Sectors for a Harmonious Future” and brought together security and defence agencies, civil society organizations, community leaders, trade and professional unions, students and the general public to dialogue about peace.
Speakers were assembled from various parts of the African continent, including Ghana and Nigeria, and deliberations focused on the need to foster peace in the West African sub-region and Nigeria in particular.
The organisation hosting the conference, the Peace Ambassador Agency, has been at the forefront in preaching peace and unity and why it is the bastion of any meaningful development.
It also featured conferment of awards on deserving personalities and Honorary Doctorate Degree, which was in collaboration with American Management University.
All awardees earned their recognition purely on merit, and the Honorary Doctorate Degree award was on various fields, including leadership and management, safety, financial management, and governance.
