A Week-Long Aisha Achimugu’s Lavish 50th Birthday Celebration in Grand Style

Mrs. Achimugu, the visionary founder and managing director of Abuja-based Felak Concept Group, marked her milestone 50th birthday on January 22 with an extravagant seven-day celebration on the stunning island of Grenada. The dedicated website for this lavish event included comprehensive details on visa arrangements, chauffeur availability, travel schedules, and the nearest airport to the luxurious celebration venue.

Highlights of the Celebration:

Week-Long Festivities: Commencing on January 16, the festivities kicked off with the arrival of guests, leading to a welcome breakfast, exploration of the resort, and mingling on the following day.

Vibrant African Attire Day: Day four saw attendees adorned in vibrant African attire for special performances, including captivating drum dances. The evening featured a cozy bonfire setting, fostering warmth and musical enjoyment.

Musical Extravaganza: Day five brought forth performances by a local band, a variety of cocktails, and a retro disco party. The sixth day witnessed guests embarking on an exciting island excursion.

Grand Finale: On January 23, the seventh and final day commenced with an all-white breakfast, culminating in a luxurious dinner-themed ‘glitz and glam’ before bidding farewell to Grenada.

Unprecedented Luxury:

Mrs. Achimugu spared no expense, hiring Calivigny Island for an entire week, reportedly spending nearly one million dollars (over N1 billion) for the rental.

The celebrant changed outfits at least 30 times during the celebration, with each dress reportedly costing thousands of dollars.

Dazzled in costly diamond jewelry, designer shoes, and carried Hermes crocodile leather handbags, each estimated to cost between $50,000 and $80,000.

Various gatherings, including one aboard the Silver Angel yacht, featured local and international A-list musicians such as Kenny G, Waje, Flavour, Adekunle Gold, Asake, and Grenadan musician Mr Killa.

Personal and Professional Background:

Mrs. Achimugu, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Jos, also holds an honorary degree from The Commonwealth University, Belize, in the Caribbean.

Married to Engineer Sulaiman Achimugu, a former Managing Director of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, they have three children. Tragically, Mr. Achimugu lost his life to Coronavirus in 2020.

Extended Celebrations:

The grandeur continued with Nigerian versions of the birthday bash at Transcorp Hotel, Abuja, on Friday, and at an undisclosed location on Saturday.
This opulent celebration left attendees astounded, with some describing it as one of the most lavish parties ever witnessed.
