Breaking News: Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe, and Five Others Perish in Helicopter Accident in California

A helicopter carrying Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, crashed in California, claiming his life and the lives of approximately five others.

Reports from TheWill News indicate that the helicopter was en route to Las Vegas when it went down near the border between Nevada and California on Friday night.

Daily Mail also confirms that six individuals are feared dead following the tragic helicopter crash, marking the second fatal incident in California in less than a week.

Officials state that the helicopter, identified as a Eurocopter EC 130, crashed near Nipton, on the outskirts of the Mojave Desert, late Friday evening.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another tragedy where a Navy helicopter, carrying five personnel, crashed during a routine training exercise in Pine Valley, California.

The helicopter, carrying six passengers, went down in San Bernardino County overnight, with authorities reporting no survivors.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the crash near Baker shortly after 10 pm on Friday, stating they are unable to confirm the identities or exact number of individuals onboard.

The FAA confirmed that the Eurocopter EC 130 crashed near Nipton, east of the 15 Freeway near Halloran Springs, within the Mojave Desert Preserve.

According to NBC, the helicopter is registered to Orbic Air, a tour company based in Burbank.
